Vocalist/guitarist J. Mascis sounds somewhat brighter and more emotional than in recent times, and his guitar work is as stellar and incendiary as ever. All in all, 'Farm' sees Dinosaur Jr. continuing to rock out inventively and satisfyingly.
Either/Or catches Elliott Smith at a transition point in his sound. It's very sad, very hopeful, very, very good! This expanded edition just adds excellent outtakes, live recordings, and some b-sides that just enhance the vibe.
