Les Bains Douches 18 December 1979 is a live album by English post-punk band Joy Division, partly-recorded on 18 December 1979 at Les Bains Douches, Paris, and released in 2001 by record label NMC. Additional tracks are drawn from two other concerts.
Joy Division's dark, brooding sound has inspired more artists than could be listed. With the sad passing of Ian Curtis, from the ashes rose New Order; the same core band but with a new fresh approach.
Closer, the band's 1980 sophomore album released two months after the death of lead singer Ian Curtis, continued where the first album left off, with "Heart And Soul", "Isolation", and "Twenty Four Hours".
